Well I've gone and got my own time machine, and journeyed back to October 2014. We had just returned to college to start our first year in HND in Photography, and one of our first tasks was to go on a Scavenger Hunt around Birmingham, visiting different land marks as hinted at on our sheet. We were also to start taking photographs of anything 'red' (not my favourite colour), but I though hay ho I'll give it a go.
I loved the Scavenger Hunt, as I have always enjoyed puzzles. Who hasn't enjoyed a copy of Puzzler?
So we journeyed around good old Brum in the typical British weather, rain, sunshine, and wind.
The Scavenger Hunt was just a bit of fun to get us visiting museums, galleries, and in the process to photograph our chosen colour 'red'.
As part of our course we were to 'visit' galleries and museum to produce a 'gallery review', and today we had been to Birmingham's New Library, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, and the Ikon Gallery. This would put us in good stead for the weeks to come.
Of course red comes in lots of different shades, and I think I managed to find a few. This was quite a good project as it would put us in good stead for a future project called 'Seeing in Black and White'.
It has taken a while, but here is my first official blog, and hopefully the next few won't feel like I'm pulling teeth. It's not a 'work of art' but it's a starting point, and hopefully I'll get better at this blogging malarky in the future.
