Darkroom vs Digital Techniques - Digital Solarisation

One of our aims in Darkroom vs Digital was to produce a digital solarisation of an image.  To to this we had to open up an image in Photoshop and edit as follows :-

Open image in Photoshop.  It is quite good to make an action in Photoshop so that you can do this with multiple images.

Window > Action > Name Action > Record >

Image > Adjustments > Gradient Map >

Duplicate Layer >

Blend Mode > Exclusion >

Cmd + E – merge layers

Cmd + I

Image > Adjustments > Levels > Black adjust towards the right ->

Image > Adjustments > Levels > White adjust towards the left <-

Layer > Flattern Image >

Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur (pixels)

Stop records to complete action.
